> FINAL ROUND COUNTDOWN
It’s a little under a month to the final round of the State Formula Ford Series. Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit will play host for this important event which will be held on the 3rd to 5th October.
For the past 86 years, Phillip Island has seen a large variety of motorsport. The first event in 1928 saw competitors take part in the 100 mile road race, which was later to be known as the first Australian Grand Prix. Since this first event, the island has hosted some of the world’s most exciting championships including Moto GP and of course,V8 Supercars.
All the regular state Formula Ford competitors are set to take part in this final round as well as some national series drivers looking to gain some track time ahead of the national finale later in the year. The fast flowing 4.4km, 11 turn circuit always provides close racing and rewards drivers for both bravery and accuracy. With speeds in excess of 230km/h be sure to get to this great event and check out all the action.
